Join us for a docent-led evening/night mountain bike ride through the seldom-visited Baker Canyon in OC Parks’ Black Star Canyon Wilderness Park! Enjoy empty wilderness trails and sweeping views of Santiago and Silverado Canyons, Irvine Lake, and the Santa Ana Mountains under the stars.
Ride Overview
- Distance & Elevation: ~10 miles | 1,500 ft. elevation gain
- Difficulty: Level 3 (Intermediate / Experienced Beginner)
- Terrain: Interconnected fire roads and single-track trails with moderate/moderately steep climbs (up to 1 mile) and short, intermediate-friendly technical sections that can be walked if needed
- Pace: Group rest stops and a dedicated snack break will be included.
- Location: Starts and ends at the Creek Staging Area.
Please note, advanced registration required, no walk-up registration is permitted.
Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-3 activity on the land. Electric Mountain Bikes of any class or type are not permitted.
